2 points per game with the added offense in Washington

Pau Gasol, Los Angles Lakers - There is a bit of an "if" surrounding Gasol's fantasy basketball status. If Andrew Bynum gets hurt again Gasol will be worth every penny. If the Lakers stay healthy Gasol will likely have a second round value. He is an outstanding shooter, you can expect a high teens average and 7.5 to 9.5 rebounds per game. Gasol is good for at least one block and three assists per game too.5. Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics - Buyer Beware After experiencing a serious knee injury last year I have my doubts about Garnett's production from a fantasy standpoint this year. The addition of Rasheed Wallace will allow KG to play a few less minutes and if the Celtics have the playoffs wrapped up Rivers will sit him in the final week of the season. If you can get Garnett at a good price he will still give you point, rebounds, steals, assists, and blocks just not in the same way that he used to. 6. David West, New Orleans Hornets - Quietly West has solidified himself as one of the best power forwards in the NBA and he is in the prime of his career.

Rebounds and points come easily for West, and he is known for playing big minutes. He is not much for steals or blocks and his assists are competitive with the rest of the top players in the position group. Playing with Chris Paul makes West an attractive fantasy option.7. Antawn Jamison, Washington Wizards - Buyer Beware A sprained shoulder in the pre-season may have owners worried but if MRI results turn out good, you can ignore the buyer beware tag. Even if Jamison is healthy he won't likely post another 22.2 points per game with the added offense in Washington. Overall he is a good pick because on top of boards and points, he can hit threes and steal the ball. Keep an eye on his shoulder, if it's good he might be a better pick than West 8.

Maybe the best deep shooter of the position group, he canned 45 percent of his 4.9 attempts per game. Murphy was a rebounding machine at 11.8 per game, which may fall with the emergence of Roy Hibbert but he could still post a double-double Not many steals or blocks but he will notch a few assists.9. He may not out-pace a mid teens scoring average but his length and athleticism allow him to grab rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trailblazers - With game similar to another Texas native (Bosh) Aldridge is the best power forward in the NBA nobody is talking about. He has a smooth game and nice jumper that notched him 18.2 points per game to go with his 7.5 rebounds. He has averaged at least one block per game every year and last season he averaged a steal per game too in 27 minutes of play. The Blazers don't have a true PF to back him up so he should log big minutes again.
